    Twitter Auctions Espresso Machines, Kegerators Amid Struggles

    Twitter is auctioning off espresso machines, kegs of beer, computers and even oversized neon screens emblazoned with the company’s logo, as the social messaging service reportedly fell behind on its rent payments. Offices.

    Kitchen Items Sold by Twitter

    Among the many kitchen items sold by Twitter are a rotisserie, several refrigerators and pizza ovens. Some of the office amenities include numerous televisions, desks, and conference equipment.

    The company even sells an electric neon sign that prominently displays the company’s bird logo. On Monday afternoon, someone made an offer of $17,500 for the neon sign.

    The team hails from the company’s San Francisco office and appears to be another sign that new owner Elon Musk is looking to cut costs amid widespread financial difficulties, as several companies have halted their Twitter ad campaigns.

    Several civil rights groups have urged companies to stop advertising on Twitter over allegations that the company is failing to prevent the spread of hate speech and other offensive content on its platform.

    Musk himself alluded to the company’s financial difficulties, although in late December he reportedly said that he was no longer on the “fast track” to bankruptcy. In December, the New York Times reported that Twitter had stopped paying rent on all of the company’s office space.
