Sex and the City Cast Characters and Actors

Sex and the City is a show about four women in their 30s and 40s, navigating New York, love, and friendship. It won four Emmy Awards, and the series was also released in two movies.

Throughout the series, each of the four characters Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) is on a quest to find their special someone. While the show primarily revolves around their romantic relationships, it also explores their friendship with each other.

The cast of Sex and the City is full of wonderful actors who make this show so much fun to watch. Sarah Jessica Parker is a perfect fit as the sexy-but-nothing-special Carrie, Cynthia Nixon is a good fit as self-assured Miranda, Kim Cattrall is great as sexually liberated Samantha and Kristin Davis is a terrific choice as hopeless romantic Charlotte.

Its recurring cast members include Christopher Noth as Mr Big, Harry Goldenblatt as a talent manager, Willie Garson as Carrie’s gay best friend Stanford Blatch and David Eigenberg as bartender Steve Brady. In addition, there are a few guest stars, including Ben Weber as Carrie’s “peek-a-boo” neighbor Skipper Johnson and Jon Bon Jovi as a cute fellow patient at therapy who loses interest in women after they sleep with them.

Sex and the City it explores a lot of different issues, both romantic and non-romantic. It’s a show about friendships that are strained, but that still maintains a sense of humour. It’s also a show about women who don’t have to take themselves too seriously, and it is so refreshing to see women who aren’t afraid to talk about their own feelings and emotions.

One of the show’s biggest draws was its witty discussions about dating and sex, but there were also some very poignant moments that made me cry. Whether it was Carrie’s hip problem or her brother Wesley’s inability to stay away from the girls, I loved how the series tackled those tough topics.

Some of the episodes were actually quite sad, but they still managed to be hilarious. Carrie’s relationship with her ex-husband John Preston (played by the late Chris Noth) was especially poignant, as was his death in Season 1. The show sadly lost several of its stars over the years, but despite the fact that many of them did not seem to enjoy working on it, the show is still an excellent way to pass the time.

Luckily, a revival of Sex and the City has started to air on HBO Max. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis reprise their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York. But there’s one character that is missing and it’s Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the original.
