elle– There are husbands, and then there is Joe Jonas: Sophie Turner’s partner and cheerleader all wrapped up in one body. Earlier this week, Sophie posted a carousel of photos on Instagram which, naturally, prompted praise from friends and fans alike. But the best comment of the bunch came from Jonas himself.
Sophie seemingly took a mirror to her backyard for a quick photoshoot and dressed up in a green and blue ensemble—styled by celebrity stylist Sydney Lopez—and black Louis Vuitton sandals. “I’ll have a piña colada please,” Sophie captioned the photo using the sun and cocktail drink emoji. Friends of the Game of Thrones star commented, including fashion model Duckie Thot, makeup artist Hung Vanngo, actress Vanessa Hudgens and more. Then Joe commented: “talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular.”
If you’re scratching your head wondering where you’ve heard this phrase from, Joe referenced the viral Lady Gaga clip in which she was asked to described American Horror Story: Hotel show creator Ryan Murphy during a Hollywood Reporter interview in 2015. Joe didn’t write the full Gaga quote, which continued after “spectacular” with more descriptors of Murphy like “never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference.”
Of course, this is just how Sophie and Joe show their appreciation for each other. Back in March, Sophie commented on one of Joe’s shirtless abs selfie writing, “Dad D,” and added “1800-Dial-a-Daddy.” The couple, who has been married since 2019, welcomed their daughter Willa last July.
