The national championship day has arrived, and were going to find out if Michigan or Villanova is the best team in America.

College basketball is like a religion for many people in this country. The fans worship at the alter of the court, and we embrace college basketball as arguably the greatest sport in the world. The whole season is all about tonight.

The matchup is set

The tournament has been played out, and we find ourselves with Michigan facing down Villanova. There are hundreds of teams in the country, and only two are still standing.

Legends will be born tonight, and a championship banner will be raised in one of their gyms. The other team will go home empty handed and with nothing. Thats the way it should be. The stakes are never higher than they are during the championship of college basketball. Its not like football where theres just four teams and three total playoff games.

No, you want to hoist the championship trophy, then you need to rattle off six straight games. One loss and you can purchase a ticket home. Theres truly nothing like it in all of sports. There are 68 teams on the opening day of the tournament, and there will only be one left when the final buzzer sounds tonight.

Its been a hell of a fun season, despite Wisconsin not making the tournament, and its been an honor taking this journey for another year with all of you.

You can watch the championship game 9:20 EST on TBS.
