Set in the year 2045, a group of gamers find themselves seeking salvation in the OASIS, a virtual world that offers sanctuary as a dystopian real world nears total collapse.

Judging on Spielberg’s previous sci-fi adventures, including Close Encounters, ET and Tron – we’re in safe hands as he brings the much loved book to the silver screen. It looks like a cross between Blade Runner, Tron and Mad Max.

Basically, its 80s Spielberg at its very finest.

Ready Player One is scheduled for worldwide release on 29 March 2018.
