Billy Mayhew is about to make a costly mistake in Coronation Street as he feels forced to turn to his dodgy brother Lee in order to score drugs as he struggles to cope with his pain.
Adam Barlow had lured Billy into becoming addicted to harder painkillers but now feels guilty about what he was doing and has abandoned his revenge. Summer is shocked at the state she finds Billy in and when Billy then disappears to meet Lee, Eileen Phelan is worried.
Billy apologises to Lee for their past and begs him for help and Eileen is surprised to later find the vicar in a much happier mood. Eileen quizzes him over his sudden change of mood but he lies that he has simply put on an act to protect Summer.
When Billy realises that Summer is struggling at school, he decides that he needs to stay happy to support her and uses this excuse to visit Lee – but how deep is he set to get?
Meanwhile, a scared Sarah Platt spots Lee on the street and, recalling her hostage trauma at his hands, she asks David for help.
As David and Josh bundle Lee into the back of a van and threaten him, have they destroyed Billy’s route to the help he has been getting from him? And as Billy starts to struggle again without Lee, will he end up back at square one?
