Nobody is safe from killer Pat Phelan in Coronation Street and the soap could be lining up a shocking final twist for the villain as he prepares to make his exit later this year. As it stands, the two people Phelan cares most about in the world are his wife Eileen and, even moreso, his previously long lost daughter Nicola Rubinstein.

But Nicola knows her dastardly dad’s true colours. Disgusted that he raped her mother and determined that he is also behind what happened to Anna Windass as well as believing him to be a killer, Nicola is plotting secretly with Gary and Seb Franklin to finally bring him down.

This means that she is currently pretending to be as nice as possible to him with the desire to build a relationship – and Phelan has fallen for it hook, line and sinker. However, while Phelan has a blind spot due to the love he holds for his daughter, it won’t be long before he discovers the truth – and it could push him over the edge.

Completely betrayed by even his daughter turning on him, fans are fearing that Phelan will kill again. And with Kate Oates ominously revealing that the end of the storyline would heavily involve Nicola, there could be a fatal end in store.

If Phelan did kill his own daughter, this would be the end for him without a doubt as while he holds less guilt over his previous kills, this would destroy him.

And with a final showdown with Eileen set to see him end up in the ocean, is this his last stand?
