Lachlan White is going to be a bag of mixed emotions in tonight’s visit to Emmerdale. Does he feel relief that his aunt Rebecca has come round and that he hasn’t been responsible for a third death? Does he feel abject terror at the prospect of her dropping him in it? Or does he feel hope as it seems like her memory is too much of a haze to recall the details of that horrifying crash?
We reckon it’s likely to be all of the above. Fans realised at the end of Friday’s episode that Rebecca was on the cusp of waking up from her coma and as we revisit the action in the Dales, she is forced to face the devastating news that her father Lawrence and sister Chrissie have died in the crash.
As she tries to deal with the enormity of this, Robert Sugden tries to be there for her and is relieved that his son Seb hasn’t lost his mother. Lachlan is a little more edgy but seems to be out of the woods when Rebecca’s memory seems clouded.
This is set to change though when she starts shouting at him, telling him that she knows what he did. Will her shouts alert anyone else in the hospital and can Lachlan persuade her that she has got things wrong?
Or could this be the beginning of the end for the troubled youngster, responsible for killing half of his family?
Whatever happens, Rebecca will struggle with everything on her mind understandably and her mission to find out what truly happened to her lost relatives leads her to leave the hospital against advice and turn up at Home Farm, which is now host to new owner Joseph Tate.
Will the surroundings trigger Rebecca’s memories? And can Lachlan get out of this situation?
Emmerdale continues on Monday 5th February at 7pm on ITV.
