As Zeedan Nazir continues to hurt from the breakdown of his marriage, he is set to make some seriously bad decisions tonight which will seriously impact on the life of Rana in Coronation Street. Rana has come clean that she is in love with Kate Connor but fearing the backlash from her family and with her head in turmoil, she doesn’t know how to handle the situation.

Zeedan has been hitting the bottle and lashing out and Rana has been doing all that she can to try and support him as she still cares deeply for him. But Zeedan seeking answers in the bottom of a bottle leads to an unpleasant situation when Rana’s parents pay an unexpected visit.

As Rana wants the ground to swallow her up, Zeedan hands out a glass of whiskey to everyone present and then bitterly outs Rana as gay to her shocked parents. Rana was not ready to share this side of her and still has a lot to sort in her own mind before she even confronted the implications with her family but, tonight, she finds herself caught in a trap as the Habeebs react to the revelation.

Keen for Rana’s sexuality to go further, they approach Zeedan with the suggestion that he keeps quiet and maintains a false front to the marriage in exchange for money and Rana is distraught to see that he is actually contemplating the move.

But when later in the week, her brother Imran reminds her that the alternative is to be cast out by her family, will Rana feel forced to go along with the devastating charade?

Coronation Street continues on Monday 5th February at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
