Heading straight to the top, Liam Gallagher will play an exclusive acoustic set for Radio X listeners in London next month.
The former Oasis lead is getting out the guitars for a soulful sesh in Leicester Square on February 12 for only 90 people, on the top of the Global office.
While we’ll most likely be cheering for Wonderwall or at the very least Don’t Look Back In Anger, punters will be keen on his new tunes, too, after his debut solo album As You Were – the phrase he still signs off every.sodding.tweet.with – debuted at number one after it was released in October.
His UK arena tour also in December sold out in minutes, which isn’t too shabby, while he’s got his eye on sold-out shows at London’s Finsbury Park and Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground this summer to keep the flavour pumping.
Matt Deverson, managing editor of Radio X, said: ‘Liam Gallagher is one of the greatest artists of his generation. His UK arena tour and huge summer shows sold out in minutes, so to have him perform an acoustic rooftop gig especially for Radio X is very special.’

It’s probably of no surprise the only way to get your Liam-loving mitts on a couple of tix is to listen to Radio X eh?
For those that miss out on witnessing the greatness that is Liam live, on February 18 the station will celebrate the life and music of the guy (he’s not dead, it’s just a celebration) and they’ll play the gig in full.
Radio X is on 104.9 FM in London, 97.7 FM in Manchester and on digital radio right across the UK, on mobile via the Radio X app and online at radiox.co.uk.
