So maybe you won’t get a ticket to the Brit Awards – but luckily there’s another awards show that boasts a stellar line-up.
The first ever Global Awards are coming up and tickets have gone on sale for the ceremony.
Unfortunately, they’ve already been snapped up – but there’s opportunity to win some from Global’s stations.
Bringing together all of Global’s radio stations – Capital, Capital XTRA, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, Radio X, Gold and LBC – the awards show will see performances from some of music’s biggest stars.
Sam Smith, Rita Ora, Kasabian and Martin Garrix have all been confirmed to perform, while classical superstar Andrea Bocelli – who hit mainstream charts in December thanks to his collaboration with Ed Sheeran – is also on the bill.
The awards are set to take place on 1 March, and voting is open to determine the shortlists of 15 categories – best song, best male, best female, best group, best British artist, best news moment, interview or debate, rising star, best classical artist, most played song, most appeal, social media superstar, best R’n’B, hip-hop or grime, best pop dance, best indie and best pop.
Ashley Tabor OBE, Global’s Founder & Executive President, said: ‘We’re bringing together our radio stations, our incredible listeners and the biggest stars of music, news & entertainment for one huge night. The Global Awards promises to be a fantastic evening and we can’t wait!’
Tickets for the Global Awards are £49.99 plus booking fee, with the event taking place at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo.
