Lachlan White doesn’t have the best day ahead in Emmerdale – and it could result in him killing again as he prepares to silence Rebecca forever. With the funerals of his mum Chrissie and grandfather Lawrence weighing on his mind, he also has to contend with the fear of Gerry listening to that voicemail he left on the day of the crash.
As Lachlan is forced to stand up and deliver a eulogy about the two relatives he killed, he struggles to hold it together but his girlfriend Belle Dingle is doing everything that she can to support him. However, when Lachlan fails to intercept Gerry’s now fixed phone, he faces a race against time to track him down and stop him hearing the shocking truth.
With Belle and Gerry about to listen to the voicemail, Lachlan is on edge – will he reach them on time?
It’s not the only desperate action he is trying to take tonight. As revealed by a recent trailer from Emmerdale, Lachlan will also follow through on his recent threat to Rebecca and decide that he needs to protect his relationship with Belle at all costs.
Grabbing Rebecca’s breathing tubes and tightening his fist, he will tearfully apologise – but will he be caught in the act or will his conscience potentially get the better of him? Or perhaps he will go through with the terrible crime and this will be the end of Rebecca?
Whatever happens, Lachlan is heading for the edge and he is also braced for a showdown with Belle as he decides to end things – but is this because she knows the truth?
Already a character very much on the brink of losing it, how much more pressure can unstable Lachlan take?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday 25th January at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
