Emmerdale has killed off two main characters following a devastating car crash that saw the White family collide with an oncoming lorry. As Lachlan grabbed the wheel from Chrissie following a row about her interfering with his relationship with Belle Dingle, the collision sent Lawrence flying out the windscreen to his death.
Meanwhile, Rebecca was left in a coma and fighting for her life with internal bleeding while Chrissie briefly came round to ask Lachlan for help – only for him to blame her for what had happened.
As he told her that Lawrence was dead, she passed away and Lachlan was consumed with regret, yelling sorry repeatedly as he lost two members of his family. Robert Sugden was at the scene of the crash, calling am ambulance and trying his best to save their lives.
As he arrived in hospital, he was left fearing the worst about what will happen Rebecca, the mother to his beloved son. As she remains in intensive care, he fears that another death will follow – and meanwhile, his suspicions about whether Lachlan caused the crash started to stir.
As the dust settles on the carnage, Lachlan now has to deal with the guilt that he killed half of his family while also keeping his role in the crash secret while Robert has his own demons to fight as he blames himself for taking off with Seb, after being left with no other choice.
Of course, the blame all comes down to Lachlan in the end – but will he face justice for the tragedy?
